My friend is raising money for Action for ME and RNLI

Just a quick post to say my lovely friend Rachel is running/swimming/cycling a triathlon in a couple of weeks and is raising money for Action for ME and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

One of the endless awful but funny pics of me and Rachel (usually drunk) when I was well
One of the endless awful but funny pics of me and Rachel (also with our lovely friend Steph) when I was well

Not too long ago she was hobbling along on crutches due to hurting her knee ligament and was in this state for a fair while, so while those of you who run marathons and have cycled the length of the country (I have mad friends) may look at the distances and think it’s not that huge a feat, I can assure you it is, and as someone who knows what it’s like for your body to keep you from normal life, I am very proud of her.

She is lovely bubbly lady full of life who has been a great friend before and after I got ill. She has endless understanding. This illness has meant I’ve cancelled on her more times than I’d like to admit. She even came round to visit me when she was hobbling on her crutches and the trains weren’t running normally and I’m sure it was more than a bit of a pain to get round here.

So.. If anyone can spare a few pounds to sponsor her it would be greatly appreciated. The money is being split between Action for ME and RNLI. Click here to donate
