Why Invest in ME?

My mother, who is also a milliner who designs and makes vintage-inspired hats, is organising the event and had chosen this charity as both myself and my brother suffer from ME (Myalgic encephalomyelitis)

Currently, there is no treatment besides those aimed at managing symptoms or aimed at helping you cope psychologically. Biomedical research into this ME is urgently needed to help improve the lives of the 250,000 people in the UK left to suffer with this chronic illness.

This is what Invest in ME are doing. They are fundraising for the most promising areas of research for treatments and pinpointing the cause of ME. This illness steals lives. It leaves most sufferers so severely ill that they cannot work and struggle to carry out basic household tasks. Some can work, others cannot leave their beds. We need answers, and we need hope. We need Invest in ME.
